You felt special. You couldn’t wait for the date to arrive.
The Universe is like that. Extending invitations that are uniquely for you.

Pivotal Quantum Leaps
I remember the moments that activated pivotal quantum leaps in my life. Each time, something appeared that feels now like breadcrumbs sprinkled on my path.
- After hitch-hiking to Vancouver, BC, I found the name of a graduate program in humanistic psychology in the card catalog of the library (yes, it was a long time ago). It precipitated a move across the country and gave me my foundational education. And I met a friend who has walked with me in life ever since.
- While on a vacation to Port Townsend, Washington, a chance reading of a local newspaper article about an inspired way of working with music and imagery turned into my next career move. And channeled my lifelong love of music into a therapeutic art form.
- Following up on an unusual invitation to a gathering to hear someone speak who became my teacher for the next 20+ years…and opened dimensions that I had been looking for all my life.
You never know in advance what that initiating moment will be, the spark that lights a roaring flame.
But if you pay attention to invitations that may not come on sparkly paper with ribbons…
If you are willing to follow the nudge, when you feel drawn to something…
If you learn to listen to that small voice within… And to trust it.
That is where you take flight!
Understanding is Not Necessary
You don’t have to understand. In fact, I can tell you that I have never known what was ahead of me when I took the first step down what became a life-changing pathway. I’m sure it was best that I didn’t know, because sometimes advance knowledge stops you in your tracks.
You become overwhelmed with the possibilities that lie ahead.
Better to pay attention to the invitation and receive it for what it is: a moment when the Universe is welcoming you to walk into the fullness of who you are.
By taking a single small step.
An Invitation from the Universe: to Be Loved
The universe is constantly bringing you invitations to your next step, even if you are not aware of it.
Here is the secret. The universe will always bring you invitations to feel loved.
When you allow yourself to see what is true, what is rich, what feels expansive, it will take you into the place of being a co-creator with Presence. This is how we dance fully in our own resplendent colors.
How else are we to take our place with what is to be created, unless we step into and claim the fullness of who we are?
This is your invitation. You are needed, in the truth and majesty of who you are.
So, take a breath. Because it’s this breath that carries the connection with the essence of who you are. Let it reveal itself to you.
Yes, it’s by taking the single small step. Receiving the invitation. Accepting it.
Breathe it in.

I believe in the miracle of coincidences – like talking to the right person at the right time leading to a project that is what dreams are made of, Laurie, and yet, I also see the little invitations to take up new opportunities that will further my dream of helping women professionals. The Divine does help by sending me little signals about which opportunities are worth taking further and the ones to be dropped like a hot potato. Can’t explain it in this comment but I know you know what I mean.
