When I came upon these words recently I immediately felt, “Yes! This is it!”
This is how I envision The Baca Journey: a place of community with people coming together to talk at the deepest levels and to celebrate the unique expression of each person.
I imagine that if you are drawn to spending any time on this site, you are in some way “engaged in furthering the evolution of consciousness” — yours or someone else’s. Same thing. My teacher often said, “You teach what you need to learn”. And of course, for those of us who have been drawn to guiding/counseling/coaching/ teaching others, we know that we are always doing our own inner work. At its most fundamental, we do that alone.
Yet there is something so profound when we are able to connect with other like-hearted “friends on the journey”.
My vision of life has always been rooted in the want to know more— more about myself, more about how life works, more about what is possible. It was why I became a psychotherapist in the first iteration of my life. I know that I gave my mother much grief because I was never satisfied with limits, or with easy answers. This was what first drove me to want to leave home: the insatiable urge to discover. I wanted to be free, even though I had not a clue what that meant.
Somewhere in me I knew the feeling that I was after.
I’ve spent my life following that inner draw, discovering that there was indeed something inside of me that was so much bigger that ANYTHING that I could have imagined. It’s there in you, too. Aren’t you ready to discover it?
