What is your normal—usual—way of living life? Does it reflect the natural essence of your being?
Let me say it now: Normal is not necessarily natural!
Fire, Fire!
Each day we live life with a set of rules and guidelines that determine the tone of a day. These rules and guidelines were developed either through structures imposed upon us or created by us out of necessity. Our day-to-day life becomes a series of patterns. These patterns become our norm.
We notice people who are consumed with drama, fear and reaction to any and every stimuli. Life is approached as if from a series of fires, each needing to be put out. Day to day life feels like a game of ping pong where we are the ping pong ball. Life operates from being a victim. Fear rules our decision making process. We feel helpless.
In the business world we call this operating from crisis management.
Natural is Simplicity
This way of living is not our natural state of being. Our natural state of being is much simpler and less convoluted. There is an ease of being, a sense that we are focused without distraction and with an innate calm.
Actions take place with awareness. Awareness comes in many forms. Objectively we are able to work in the present, with the past providing insights into our next steps. We feel as though we are in a constant state of learning. Our body is sensitive and we feel able to navigate life.
Inner Guidance
The guidance system within us is constantly engaged. Our body and mind feel clarity. This clarity assists us in conscious decision making with the awareness of a next step and the ability to take action. Life is not fraught with indecision. However, we may delay taking action when we feel there is more to unfold.
We take action from a sense of security, trust and knowing. Our actions weave through life’s mystery yet we can acknowledge synchronicity and purpose in our actions. We know when to take action and when to take a breath from life’s busyness. In short, we are a part of life’s dance.
I feel breathless and stimulated in writing these words because they move through me without hesitation, almost as if I can not type fast enough.
The words are not concepts; they are a way of life!
Recognized?
Each of us knows this state of being in some aspect of our life. The question is… Do we recognize its existence in our lives? Once acknowledged, we have the ability to expand this way of being into all areas of our life. The dance expands and a feeling of fullness emerges. We feel life’s celebration as we grow!
What areas of your life work? Do you recognize and acknowledge what you are doing in these areas of life? What do you have to do to expand this ability into other areas of life?
