Life in the physical world is filled with things to be done. Sometimes your daily tasks overflow!
While attending to daily tasks is necessary, you can do it as a delightful dance or as a trudge through the mud.
How do you stay aligned and on-task? Maybe you are a list-maker, organizing your day around itemized requirements. Does your list then become the structure for your day?
Perhaps you cringe at the idea of making a list, preferring to do things as you feel moved. How do you balance what you want to do with what needs to get done?
Purpose in Your Actions?
Notice if there is a feeling of purpose in your actions. Do you pause to consider your next step? Do you check in with your inner guidance system?
As you go through your day, stop and see if your list changes. Don’t allow the list to dictate your actions! When you connect with your inner guidance system, there may be something new that calls to you, shifting what needs to be done. If you find yourself distracted, take a few quiet minutes to determine where to focus your attention next.
There are times when you will feel an inner support to take action. It’s like a cosmic nudge. Yes, you may find it inconvenient, but realize that everything you do has a sense of connection and timing.
When you are at the right place at the right time, things flow. A new opportunity may appear. If you ignore timing, an easy task becomes a struggle; a path to your next step is missed.
Have you noticed a sense of timing in your daily tasks? What happens when your timing is off? When your actions are aligned with your sense of timing, have you noticed that things unfold in surprising ways?
As you acknowledge the synchronicity of the steps you take, recognize the honoring of your inner connection. Your life works!
Time for Reflection
Take a breath. Release it. Take another. Devote some dedicated time of concentration/meditation. It doesn’t need to be hours of quiet, perhaps only 15 minutes. Then allow the question to simmer within you through the weekend. Let responses bubble up into your awareness. Notice new ways of thinking, of images or ideas that arise spontaneously. Pay attention to your dreams. Let it happen. Be aware. See where it leads you next. Let yourself savor this process of receiving from yourself. Don’t judge whatever comes up, just receive it. Make notes.
Share something from this process. Sharing is an important way to anchor an insight in your body. It leads you to deeper insight. It stimulates action. Feel free to use this arena to share what moves you!
