Take a moment. What’s got your attention right now? Is it about what you love?
It’s true. Too often worry grabs hold and you get stuck in what you don’t want or focused on what isn’t working.
Take another moment. Allow an inner shift. Because this is about a focus on what is working.
It’s about love.
Do you remember what you love? Do you let it enter in your thoughts on a regular basis? Is it important to you?
I know. Some days criticism and judgement cloud your vision. Love feels buried under a pile of obligation and busyness.
What happens then? Your heart closes down. Your focus narrows. Inspiration vanishes.
So, let’s pause. Take yet another moment, this time to consider… What do you love?
Perhaps you’ve forgotten.
Let yourself remember now. Will you speak it out loud? Go deep. Run wide. Let the joy of it ripple through you. It’s time to remember.
Because this is for you.
I love my ________________________________.
And also the _____________________________.
And this, too _____________________________.
Life feels magical when _____________________________.
I love to do ______________________________.
Oh yes, and I love to _______________________.
___________________________ adds spice to my life.
I love when ______________________________.
I can’t wait to do ___________________________ again.
I would love to ______________________________.
I love how ________________________________.
I laugh out loud when ______________________________.
I love that ________________________________.
Everything in me softens when __________________________________.

Notice what opens up. Feel your breath deepening. More air gets inside because you’ve created more space to live in. Options appear. Next steps unfold.
It isn’t magic. It’s the power of remembering.
Remembering what you love is an acknowledgment of the gift of life.
Live what you love out loud. It’s the antidote for_____. Well, you fill in that blank, too.
What do you love?
Take time to reflect
Take a breath. Release it. Take another. Devote some dedicated time of concentration/meditation. It doesn’t need to be hours of quiet, perhaps only 15 minutes. Then allow the question to simmer within you. Let responses bubble up into your awareness. Notice new ways of thinking, of images or ideas that arise spontaneously. Pay attention to your dreams. Let it happen. Be aware. See where it leads you next. Let yourself savor this process of receiving from yourself. Don’t judge whatever comes up, just receive it. Make notes.
I invite you to share something from this process. Sharing anchors insight in your body. It leads you to deeper insight. It stimulates action.
Scroll down and add your experience. I’d love to hear from you!

Thank you Laurie, great space to fill in the blanks. Inspiring process to focus on. This exercise brings focused balance to my body, mind and spirit. 🙂
I’m so glad! Balance is key, isn’t it Debra?
Great article Laurie! Love all the blanks, it really makes you think and reconnect with the things you love in life. Thanks for sharing your wisdom! 🙂
When I reconnect with all of what I love, the world becomes so much brighter. Thanks for your words, Patricia!
My friend, the poet Qutbuddin Loren Ruh Smith, just sent this to me and I thought I’d add it here:
And if it’s True?
And it is…!
I love this Laurie! The prompts you’ve provided are awesome.
When I went through a critical period at work (gads…the annual performance review) and my mind was clouded with the judgment of others, I reminded myself that others don’t determine my worth. I do. And I remembered what I love…and as soon as I could close down my laptop for the day, I was off in my kayak, paddling around the crystal turquoise waters of the Florida Keys.

I have a beautiful picture of you in my mind’s eye, Peggy, of you kayaking in those exquisite waters. Remembering is so important—and changes everything. <3 Laurie
Hi Laurie, thank you! what a great reminder! xoxox
With pleasure, Ginny!
yes, connecting with yourself is the key. I start my day with a little moment of meditation, deep breath in and out, feels so good and sets the day.
That early morning moment of check-in is a great way to discover what the day is about for me.
Wow, what a huge list of prompts. I’ll try to fill in at least half of it. I’ll print this and fill it in when I finish work later.
I’d love to hear how it goes for you Mihaela!
I love the writing prompts Laurie and the encouragement to reconnect deeply with what we love! Taking time each day to meditate and just breathe reconnects me with what I love and allows that to the energy I spread in the world. Beautiful post! Thank you!
The power of the breath to connect me always astounds me, Kelley. It truly is for me the breath of God. Thanks for your comment!
Sitting down right now to fill in the blanks! Thanks for helping us remember what we love!
It’s a pleasure to help you remember what you love. That opens so many doors. Thanks Barb!
OOO, I need to steal this. A question I ask people often! I love the worksheet to entice people to really answer the questions that hold so much of who they are!!!
Thanks Ruthie! Feel free to use with attribution. 🙂
Love these thought provoking prompts and will take them to my journal for my morning writing. It’s been a while since I have been on your website. Love the new look (new to me) and feel. Gorgeous. And as always, I find your articles so inspiring!
How lovely to have you visit again Minette! I have missed you. Thanks for stopping by. Yes, lots is new… Laurie
Hi Laurie, I didn’t get to this until today, which I’m sure is when I was meant to see it : )
I loved it! Once I paused to truly connect with the prompts, they held my attention. As I went through them I felt lighter as love filled within me. I will keep those moments with me as I go into this day.
Thank you! Namaste
